Prenatal Chiropractic Care

What is Webster Technique?

The Webster technique is a series of chiropractic adjustments and soft tissue work that encourages proper pelvic and sacral alignment. This allows the nervous system to perform optimally and the muscles and ligaments to decrease tension in the correlating areas. It enables chiropractors to establish balance of the pelvis and reduce undue stress to the uterus and supporting ligaments.

Without optimal sacral alignment, mothers may experience difficulty during labor (dystocia). Dystocia may be caused by inadequate uterine function, pelvic contraction, and baby mal-presentation. The Webster Technique was developed to decrease these causes of dystocia.

Is Webster Technique Safe?

The Webster Technique is a gentle safe way to realign the sacrum. This process may relieve the pull that creates tension in the uterus and supporting ligaments. It is safe, comfortable, and involves no external force on the baby.
